Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel- Ask Big Questions
This past winter, Ask Big Questions sponsored eight Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel buses for 320 American students and 48 Israelis.
- In keeping with its belief in the power of conversation with diverse groups, Taglit-Birthright Israel: Hillel-Ask Big Questions buses featured a full 10-day mifgash (encounter) with young Israelis who traveled side by side with American students.
- Conversations were framed using an Ask Big Questions approach, the hallmarks of which are diversity, inclusiveness, and trust.
- There was a new curriculum which also included orientations and follow-through conversations that help make Ask Big Questions part of a bigger experience on campus.
- Trip included focus on civil society work in Israel: Working closely with Hillel staff in Israel, each bus did coexistence and civil society work in Israel as a program element for all of the Ask Big Questions Birthright buses.
